4.5 stars! This author knows how to write a captivating story, and the audiobook with the accents makes it an even better experience. I did not know how to feel about these characters until the end of the book, and even then, I was left speechless.
Omg, so good! Probably closer to 5 ⭐️. This was a creepy thriller that was impossible to quit reading. Told from alternating POV’s (which I love), this is a story about the murder of Annie Doyle. Lydia seems to have an idyllic life, lives in her childhood home with her husband, Andrew, a respected judge & son, Laurence whom she adores.
But one night things go terribly wrong & Andrew kills Annie. Why? Was it an accident? Murder? Lydia was there too that night. What role does she play? This sets into motion a chain of events into a dark, downward spiral. They definitely weren’t thinking clearly & they stuff her body in their car & bury it in their backyard garden hoping to put it all behind them. Annie was a junkie & a prostitute so no one will miss her anyway. Except her sister. Karen is desperate to find the truth about her sister & when her path crosses with Laurence, things begin to unravel fast.
