The Luckiest Girl was much more interesting than I thought it was going to be! At first I got gossip girl / I am a spoiled heiress vibes from it, but it quickly developed into something much more complex. I liked the way the flashbacks explored her memory and the tense way the story was revealed. I was pleasantly surprised
I really wanted to love this book. It started a bit slow and threw tons of characters at you. I really struggled in the beginning. The book got significantly better towards the middle. The main character is quite complex - the story line spends a great deal of time on her borderline eating disorder and body image struggles - which would be fine but seem to take away from the actual storyline.
