This is book 2 following Lovesick, which is the story of Rose and Abel. Lovefool follows the story of Taina and Emiliano. Disclaimer: This could be read as a standalone because it only mentions Rose and Abel at the very end, as it is a completely different story with only a slight tie-in with the first one.
So, I rated it 4 stars only because I was a bit confused in the beginning. I was expecting to be in the same setting, picking up where we left off from the first book, and that was not the case. Then, when there was a completely different couple, that threw me off as well. Of course, I fell in love with Emiliano and Taina and could not stop reading because I had to know what was going to happen next.
What was even better was the twists and turns that kept popping up that I did not see coming. I love a good SURPRISE in a book. So applause for Cynthia for pulling that off. I kept waiting for a scene that was going to have Taina in a mental hospital as a schizophrenic patient like her mom hinted at, but I wasn't disappointed in the ending.
Also, make sure you keep clicking to the last page for a tidbit you don't want to miss!
I am hoping the little tidbit means a third book!
