Little Souls: A Novel

The author shared that she wrote this story, largely focused on the Spanish flu epidemic, years ago. There wasn't interest in it until the COVID pandemic. On the tail end of our current pandemic, this story is depressing. There is loss upon loss, even of beloved characters. Rape, of adults and children, is featured. While it was a quick read, I did not enjoy this (content or writing) nearly as much as I have other Sandra Dallas books.
