Lightlark (The Lightlark Saga Book 1)

An interesting start to a new series. While it did have a hunger games feel to it, I kept waiting for more character development and was rooting for Grim and Isla every turn of the page. It was them that I keep rushing to get to.

I recently finished Lightlark, and I can’t stop raving about it! From the very first page, I was completely drawn into a world that feels both enchanting and perilous. Aster’s ability to craft such vivid, immersive settings is truly remarkable; each realm is distinct and brimming with life, making it impossible to put the book down.

The characters are equally compelling. Each one is richly developed, with their own motivations and complexities that make them feel real. I found myself rooting for them, feeling their struggles and triumphs as if they were my own. The relationships are beautifully woven, adding layers of depth to the narrative.

What I loved most is how Aster keeps the tension high throughout. Just when you think you have a handle on the plot, she throws in twists that leave you gasping. It’s a true page-turner that kept me up late into the night, eager to see what would happen next.
