I read this immediately after finishing the Thrawn trilogy and it seems to pick up right where the other left off. I loved Zahn's books, but found that I liked Anderson's more, because they rely less on your memory of characters from the movies. There is more detail in the descriptions that really helped me remember elements from the vast Star Wars universe without having to pick up one of my Star Wars reference books. The story is great, with a female villain who is not as smart as Thrawn, but nastier. Highly recommended!
