I thought it went on too long and there could have been more depth in AJ’s relationships with her siblings than the author tried to develop much later in the book.
It was ok. If you enjoy sketch comedy and improvisational comedy you will love this book because it's a love story that spans multiple years and takes place in the comedy world. I'm not as familiar or interested in that milieu and so a lot of it left me disinterested. This felt very similar to Tomorrow and Tomorrow where love was set in the backdrop of video game development. Again, if you are a comedy aficionado and a romance fan, you'll love this book.
Somehow, devastation feels good in a book like this. This is not a "happily ever after" romance. It is a real and tough love story. Masterfully written and marvelously read by none other than Julia Whelan.
