Tim O'Brien has crafted an amazing book that is extremely thought provoking. It's not a mystery with a clear beginning, middle and end. On page 266 the foot note explains the entire book quite well. We are generally intrigued by mysteries we can't solve and we enjoy looking at various theories such in the case of Lizzie Borden. This is a novel about the ins and outs of a marriage, the effects of Vietnam, politics and so much more.
