It was such fun coming back to the Merriweather Academy for Young Ladies, but this time around, Drusilla's younger sister (and co-head mistress) takes the the spotlight in her own zany adventures that takes from the familiarity of Chicago to the Unknown in Florida and beyond.
The book is dialogue heavy and sometimes weighs the story down, but if you keep up with it, you will find yourself giggling at the banter between Annaliese and Seth. The menagerie of animals undoubtedly steal the show.
This is a lighthearted historical romance for readers who enjoy a funny, adventurous vibe, featuring witty characters, a medium pace, and a whimsical atmosphere centered on the chaotic pursuit of hidden treasure and the discovery of romantic longing.
