How to Age Disgracefully gets an unapologetic, side-splitting 5 stars from me. I mean, who knew senior citizens and toddlers would be the dream team we never knew we needed?

description

Lydia thought she was signing up for some light babysitting of the elderly, but instead, she walked into what can only be described as chaos with wrinkles. You’ve got Art, the klepto ex-actor who probably should’ve stolen the show instead of other people’s stuff, and Ruby, a Banksy-style yarn bomber who takes passive-aggressive knitting to the next level. Honestly, I need a “knit-your-own-revenge” class from her, pronto. Then there’s Daphne, hiding more skeletons than a Halloween store, and the whole “we’re too old for this, but let’s save the community center anyway” plot that had me rooting for them.

The collision of the seniors’ club and a daycare is pure comedy gold. Picture toddlers and grandmas teaming up for shenanigans—it's like Ocean’s 11, but with pacifiers and walkers. Also, there’s a geriatric dog who adds a level of adorable mayhem that I didn’t know I needed.

The city council never saw them coming, and honestly, I wasn’t prepared either. Between their not-so-legal fundraising methods and the fact that every plan teetered on the edge of disaster, it was a laugh-out-loud adventure from start to finish.

So if you’ve ever wondered what would happen if seniors and toddlers joined forces for a common cause (spoiler: chaos, hilarity, and possible jail time), then this is the book for you.
