The writing isn't great and the first 100-200 pages are slow. But the author knows how to keep you hanging on. I still don't know how to feel about the twist. I like to feel like I know/ can relate/ can trust the person who's view I'm reading from... but the twist made me feel like even after 400 pages of being "in her head", I didn't know her at all. It was clever though. The sexy bits were very well done, not too ridiculous where they make you laugh and not too held back where they leave you annoyed. A good amount of desire to continue reading, I think. I give it between a 5 and 6 out of 10.
Honestly I know it’s a hot take for many, with many contradicting reviews. I really enjoyed this book, Although some say the plot twist didn’t make any sense and felt thrown in there outta nowhere, I thought this at first too, until I read the book for a second time knowing the knowledge of how this book ends off while we wait for the second book of the series. The ending to me, after reading it a second time made everything I thought didn’t make sense the first time reading, make sense and I really really enjoyed the book the first time as well, other than a couple parts that were flat for me or just seemed to never end, I just enjoyed the second time reading this book more. It’s not everyone’s type of book, but this book is the book that got me back into reading after years of not reading, this book is most definitely one of my favourite books I’ve read! I would recommend, but be aware of the trigger warnings in the beginning of this book as some of the more disturbing scenes are very detailed and you should definitely be aware and make sure you want to continue reading before doing so as the scenes are later in the book :)
Wowwww did this book throw me for a loop!!! The plot twist is so insane I almost feel like it doesn’t make sense?? But book 2 comes out soon so we will see. Kind of has knock-off ACOTAR vibes 🤷🏻♀️
The book was okay. I was confused by the playlist because I feel like I only noticed it at the last chapter but there are six songs? It was slow and picked up at the end which was great. The plot twist was crazy and sooo unexpected.
As stated in other reviews the grammar could be better and honestly there’s to many descriptions at certain points throughout the book.
