Living in a new country is no walk in the park—Nao, Hyejung, and Tina can all attest to that. The three of them became fast friends through living together in the Himawari House in Tokyo and attending the same Japanese cram school. Nao came to Japan to reconnect with her Japanese heritage, while Hyejung and Tina came to find freedom and their own paths. Though each of them has her own motivations and challenges, they all deal with language barriers, being a fish out of water, self discovery, love, and family.

Great book!!!! First GN I’m reading in black and white and I was right when I picked it up. The story pays for it. It was a buy difficult for me and I know that b/W is not my style or preference for sure. The story was so good. The characters were amazing. I LOVED the languages!!! Favorite part. I’m reading this right after Brownstone and I honestly can’t get enough. I love being able to dive into multilungual stories. I’m also kinda getting the joy of more mature ready from the elementary. I loved this book. Read it in a day it would be a ten but the b/W hurt my heart a Little and I can’t sustain. Beautiful. I want to see a show of it. Made me want to watch asain drama🤍🤍 More reads like this
