I probably would’ve liked this more if I followed The Bachelor universe, but, even as someone only vaguely familiar with it, I found the self-aware humor of this book refreshing, wonderful, and heartfelt. I liked the way the book was organized with a nice balance of confessionals, solo dates, and group behind-the-scenes action, and, while I’m a little tired of the enemies-to-lovers trope, this book managed to know exactly what it was, what it wanted to do, and did exactly that without taking itself seriously. If there was a right way to do enemies-to-lovers in a way that isn’t overdone and tired, it’s all Paulsen and Wang.
