I have the utmost respect for Amy’s journey and what she’s been through. That being said, I’m surprised this book has as many devoted fans as it does. It was pretty shallow and the format made it kinda feel like it was written in an hour… BUT This book was obviously very healing for her and that’s the most important part of memoirs 🫶

Amy Lin is one of a kind. Her writing is so raw and I found myself thinking just how proud of her Kurtis would truly be. Everyone deserves that love that makes them feel so special and deserving of the world. As I read each unique chapter I could not put it down. Thank you Amy for your vulnerability in allowing the reader to get to know your Kurtis and how he taught you to keep going and reach for the stars. There is no doubt he would indeed be jumping for joy at this incredible debut.

Easily my favorite book of 2024. Such an honest recounting of loss, grief, pain, and movement despite all of that. Beautiful.
