A mystery/thriller set in ITALY? Sign me up.
Italy is my absolute favorite of the few countries that I have visited.
I found myself interested in the majority of the story and this book does stand out in my mid, even weeks after reading it. BUT, I just wasn’t a fan of the layout of this mystery, in terms of the way the POVs were set up. Although that is just strictly preference. This is not a “Whodunnit” story, you know in the story who is behind everything that happens and that just happen to be a trend in a lot of mystery/thrillers, that I’m not a fan of,.

An exclusive, high end marriage ceremony set in a majestic Italian villa has plenty of action. It definitely has some vibes from other wedding gone wrong books (You're Invited, The Guest List..) but this one is way more over the top.
Claire Hunter is a talented artist and is about to marry into the ultra-rich and powerful Compton family, despite her own shady and questionable past. Her husband to be, Jack Compton, has his own secrets and before they even set foot on the Isle Isola, an intruder breaks into their Nashville home. Why? Who or what is he really after? Things continue to go downhill quickly on the island (skeletal remains found, a ruined wedding dress, mysterious death of Jack's 1st wife...). As a raging storm batters the island, will the wedding even happen?
I enjoyed this fast-paced psych-thriller but it was at times at bit over the top. A lot of characters to keep straight and none of them likeable. It was detailed, layered and action packed but pretty predictable. I knew who the perpetrator was right away but was curious to see how it would all play out.
