Hedda Gabler

This is one of those socially important plays that, read in retrospect, loses a lot of its appeal. I think. For me at least. She is slightly loopy, it seems. Disappointed to be sure, but then cackling over destroying people's life work. Clearly wants to ignore social conventions. And dedicated to her freedom, unto death. But it's hard to admire or have sympathy for given how she goes about it.

Just a weird play.
