He Sees You When You're Sleeping: A Dark and Steamy Holiday Romance of Obsession and Secrets―Where Desire Meets Danger in the Heart of NYC (Naughty or Nice, 1)

This deluxe paperback edition features glow-in-the-dark cover effects!

Why choose between naughty or nice in this steamy, suspenseful Christmas-themed stalker romance that’s perfect for dark romance readers seeking a spicy, festive read.

It’s the night before Christmas and I’m alone in the house…

Popular jewelry influencer Chloe Hallman is steeling herself to spend another holiday on her own. Instead, she finds herself drawn to two different guys… a smoldering hot fan of her secret, seductive online persona, and a sexy fireman named Jack who looks out for her in their NYC neighborhood.

She has no idea that I know her better than she knows herself. Her deepest secrets, her darkest desires—she's careful, but I’ve been watching, never leaving footprints in the snow outside her home.

Jack was the first responder to the accident that stole a beautiful young woman's family two Christmases ago, and he's been quietly guarding her ever since. When Jack uncovers Chloe’s secret account, his obsession only grows. Both he and Chloe are drawn to the darkness that mirrors their own.

She’s my Christmas wish come true. And I'm hers. She just doesn’t know it yet.

Will Chloe’s Christmas be a tale of fiery passion...or a dangerous game with a man whose love knows no bounds?

6 ⭐️ I usually enjoy a dark stalker romance. This one fell flat. It felt like a SHEIN version of lights out with a bow slapped on it. The story line is even similar The stalking was creepy, and I think it made it creepier that the guy is a “good guy”. In some of the stalking romances I have read, the fmc knows she’s being stalked, Chloe has no idea until the end. Jack is also a firefighter and plays this good guy narrative but he has a “dark” side. I wish he would have been more morally ambiguous, it might have made it less creepy. There wasn’t much banter, no giggling or kicking my feet. The smut was just okay and really mild for being “kinky”, some spanking and blindfolds. The characters were also kind of flat, I didn’t get attached to either of them, and was judging Chloe a bit for one, not asking more questions and two, forgiving him so quickly. Personally wasn’t my cup of tea, but I like my book boyfriends a bit more edgier

Well… this opened my eyes to the world of stalker kinks. I know there’s something for everyone, but I just hadn’t even considered it. The plot was 6/10 but the spice was around an 8. I was a bit annoyed with the female protagonist for being so incredibly dense sometimes, but that’s how to get that plot to work. I’ll be closing my bedroom blinds tonight, though… just in case.
