I wish I could give this more than 5 stars!! This was such a wonderful listen - I am sad that it ended and that I have to wait another month to get the second book done in this outstanding full cast audio edition. It was truly a movie in my mind. While I love the Jim Daly audiobooks and listened to them back in May of this year, I felt there were just too many characters for me to get fully immersed in the book with just one voice trying to do all the many different characters.
This immersion experience was next level. The sound effects, the narrator of CUSH JUMBO was PERFECTION! She did a fabulous job and every single one of the voice actors completely captured the essence of every single Harry Potter character! I absolutely LOVED LOVED Mark Addy for HAGRID - it was like listening to an old friend and he made Robbie Coltrane proud with his take on Hagrid which was perfect. The three stars - Harry, Ron & Hermione - PERFECT.
Hugh Laurie as Dumbledore, Michelle Gomez as Mrs. McGonacle, Riz Ahmed as SNAPE, and Matthew McFaden as Lord V - again - PERFECT. I just loved every single second of this book (which is the shortest of the series) - so I devoured it in less than a day.
I would recommend these FULL CAST audio recordings to everyone - the best way to feel immersed in the Harry Potter world - great sound, special effects and listening in DOLBY ATMOS audio with headphones is next level.

Can't believe the first time I tried this I thought it was boring! I must be mad! Ha ha! It is sooooo good and I love the one liners that had me in hysterics a number of times
