I struggled with this at the start, mainly because the author seemed obsessed with using unique and weird ways of describing things. I also struggled with why Persons talked the way he did when he/the body was in present day, as it's never fully explained. But when Khaw drops the stuffy way of writing and gets into the dialogue and acting, whooo boy, this is fun.
