Gratify

I thought about giving this 3 stars, meaning 'it was okay,' but decided that I actually didn't enjoy it all that much, which means 2 stars is more applicable. Unfortunately, the writing is just not very good. There was a lot more telling than showing, and even the narrator seemed to have a hard time speaking some of the sentences at times. The big, inevitable reveal was very lame. The third act breakup felt entirely random and forced. I didn't care about the characters by the end. I don't plan to read more by this author.
