First off let me say daddy vad omg!!! This book i have no words on where to begin but let me just say this is like gothic meets Harry Potter and honestly I was here for it. You meet corvina and shes got witchy boho and down to earth vibes , beautiful violet eyes and this dark raven hair that’s so long ughh!! Shes perf and I love that she is open to new things coming from a small sheltered environment , she just knows who she is and I love that. It’s the perfect teacher/student romance and it is really well written!

I am going through a RuNyx rabbit hole and I’m slowly reading all her books. I wish Gothikana wasn’t a stand-alone because this world sucked me in with its spine tingling, toe curling, dark eerie atmosphere. It is full of mystery, suspense, murder, a curse and forbidden love. The world RuNyx built is utterly amazing. So many amazing complex characters, the voices, the lake, the woods, the shadows, the suicides and the history of Verenmore will keep you on your toes and you won’t br able to stop. Let’s talk characters! 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙖 is a unique and innocent character who just wants to discover who she really is. After spending all her life being homeschooled and just having her mom's company, she comes to Verenmore to study. 𝙑𝙖𝙙 is the grey character we all love and need in our life, he is just full of that mysterious sex appeal that just makes our heart beat uncomfortably. The chemistry and the development they have together and separately is *chef's kiss* so beautiful! Take a Leap of faith with this book. You guys will not regret it.
