It was a very well written story, and the plot was great (as are ALL of KS’s books!), but also terribly heart wrenching. Normally in other books we don’t get too much of the murder victims story from their perspective, but here, every other chapter was from Emily’s POV, you really get to bond with her as a character, so naturally her death is painful to read about. One thing I’m not fully satisfied with is the ending in regards to the identity of Judith’s father. I feel like it was a bit out of left field, maybe that’s why KS chose him to be the father, but still, I’m not sure I would’ve believed it with the ease everyone else did. Like hello?! What about a DNA test?? Anyway, all in all, I do recommend this book, I just think it’s a bit sad is all.

A good read overall, I found it fairly slow and I’m not a fan of long chapters but wasn’t disappointed by the end. Would recommend.

Well done yarn about a young high schooler in the late 1970’s who became pregnant by an unknown participant at a party of her clique-mates. And she is trying to figure out the culprit, before she is killed on the night of her senior prom. There are many layers in this story in the past, and up to present day, that keeps the reader guessing.
