I don't know how to feel about this book. I don't think I'm smart enough to get it on a deep level. However, I found myself riveted by some of the stories. Maybe if I feel brave, I'll reread it to try to figure out WTF is going on...
Sorry, but this was not good. The first story about a paperback book that...bites people...it got a little too dumb for me. Additionally, the dialogue - everyone speaks the same, which is like the rest of the writing (non-dialogue), which always tips me off to hasty writing or poor editing. I want to get to know characters, not have them and even their words feel like nothing but description. Make them come alive. Unfortunately, it was bad enough that I didn't even bother with the rest of the stories. I'll try a different book of this author's, but with lower hopes now.
