eh kinda disappointing because i loved her memoir so much.
i like the idea of exploring fictional online dating / modern romance, but found it a little cliche? also the prose really didn’t hit for me. something about the descriptions and even some of the dialogue felt stilted and unrealistic.

Is there a book out there by a female author that paints a male character as good and not flawed for once? I don't think I've read it yet to be honest, and the commitment-phobe men of the this book wound me up something rotten. I will say I do appreciate Dolly and I did enjoy her first book and one could say this is more of much the same so it at times it was like being wrapped up in a warm hug of female self-worth, it's just the male characters got on my nerves. This book is one the champion for the complexities and even simplicities of female friendships and how they change as you age and for that it gets my four stars.
