Okay, how do I put this? I've been reading a barrage of fiction books and they all seem to be on the subject of mental health and awareness. with all that is going on in this world today, I decided to start reading non-fiction books about mental health and how to deal with it. Simple enough, correct?
Well, this book is quite long so I skimmed parts that do not apply to me. I'm a bit perplexed as to why I found at specific chapters, the author seems to repeat himself. I do understand he is trying to drill in his points but it was off-putting for me. Then my mind started to wonder if this is the right book for me. I felt overwhelmed with too much information as I continued reading.
I did walk away with several key points which are: practice mindful meditation and be open to really take in your surroundings by observing. I'm too easily distracted and I cannot meditate longer than 10 minutes. I might revisit this book at another point in time. I've some others that are more to the point and a great deal shorter.
