This is too uneven, too hit-or-miss, too long, and too constrained by its own artificial conventions, to fully recommend. It's an interesting artifact and a tremendously cool premise, but - presumably at least in part because of the guardrails placed on the Star Wars universe - the authors who go "biggest" with their chapters spend their time spiraling around in utterly banal cul-de-sacs, while many of the ones who write with the most verve are trapped within the conventions of canon lore.
There are a few standouts in here, though. My favorites were:

The Last Flight by Ali Hazelwood (this one was very good)

The Ballad of Nanta by Sarah Kuhn (the saddest)
Then Fall, Sidious by Olivie Blake (probably my favorite writing in the entire book)
Impact by Sean Williams
Trooper Trouble by Laura Pohl
If you're a diehard fan, this is fun enough. Otherwise, it's not worth the investment of time.
