For Whom the Belle Tolls (Hell's Belles, 1)

I don't even know where to begin. The world is so different and unique. The world building was just right - not over done at all. The characters are so believable and true. I felt like I was right next to Lily. And I love the dual POV and getting to see Beleth's side of things helped with the story line a lot. The way this novel touches your heart, makes you laugh, gives you the warm fuzzies, keeps you thinking, I couldn't get enough. I thought it was long when I started, but I didn't want it to end. This is easily one of my favorite fantasy romances. I cannot wait for the next story! I'm gonna rematch all the tiktoks from the very beginning to hold me over in the meantime!

This was one of my favourite books that I read this year. The characters are so well written and multi dimensional. I followed along with the tiktok series, and I was so excited to read the background of some of my favourite characters. This book exceeded all of my expectations. I can't wait to read the next part of the story.

I am obsessed with this book!! I had so much fun with these characters and the story makes me really hope this is how the after life is. Beautiful written and easy to follow and the slow burn is perfection! Had me ugly crying when they mentioned a parent’s story. I look forward to future books and really hope Greg gets a HEA! 🥰

📚Book Review📚 For Whom The Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn Published: May 6, 2025 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m going to be honest, when I first saw this book, I was mesmerized by how beautiful the cover was, but I immediately put the book back. I wasn’t in the mood to read a retelling of Edgar Allen Poe’s story. I did this a few times, then decided ok, with such a beautiful cover, how could it possibly be about war, right? Well, let me tell you, I’m so glad I decided to check it out! Right from the very beginning, in the author’s note, there were so many trigger warnings, how could one not be intrigued?? Warnings ranged from blood and gore to revengeful violence. Flaws in religious beliefs, to child abuse and learning how to overcome one’s personal insecurities. Oh boy, let’s not forget about the EXPLICIT sex scenes. 🔥 Lynn immediately draws you into the FMC’s world when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer and tries to leave her family with loving memories before her passing. Once she passes away, the remainder of the book focuses on her journey in the Afterlife. There were so many twists and turns, highs and lows, and everything else in between. Jaysea Lynn’s perspective on Christianity’s version of Heaven and Hell and the Afterlife was so ingenious, that I would love to believe it is more the reality. Lynn even addressed all of the triggering subjects respectfully and empathetically… well, except for the sex. 😂 Overall, I thought this book was so well written, with plenty of details and organization, giving the story wonderful fluidity. All the characters were so unique with their quirky personalities, witty humor, and creative features. Not to mention, Lynn did an exceptional job providing all their life stories that they honestly felt like old friends. There was so much emotional depth that one minute you were tearing up, then the next minute you’d be laughing, cheering, and gasping. This book was refreshingly different and kept the reader engaged from start to finish. As one reader states: ‘If you want a story that’s fierce, funny, full of heart, and flames hotter than Hell itself, grab this book. You won’t regret it.’ I couldn’t have said it better myself. 🔥😈

🤯. This is definitely going to be a contender for my favorite book of the year. Amazing world building, hot as hell romance aspect built on actual communication (no insta love here), snarky humor but also thoughtful handling of heavier topics/themes. Honestly, there’s not a single thing I’d change about this one. It is sheer perfection.
