Fly is a Goose Girl retelling, I have not read Goose Girl (I hadn’t even heard of it) so I don’t know how similar they are to one another.
When two warring kingdoms seek alliance by marriage two princesses who are half-sisters are sent to replace the King and Queen after the Queen has an accident. The younger sister is less favoured, the daughter of basically a peasant so will be the Goose Girl. On the way the older sister is thrown from her horse and hits her head leading to amnesia so once at the castle the younger girl takes the older sister’s place.
As the tale goes on it all comes out and there is, of course, a HEA.
It was fast-paced and quite a short listen. I cannot compare from the original but I did enjoy it and want to read the original now.
