Fifty Shades Darker

"I rest my head against him, and he kisses my hair repeatedly. This is home. He smells of linen, fabric softener, bodywash, and my favorite smell--Christian. For a moment, I allow myself the illusion that all will be well, and it soothes my ravaged soul."

Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house.

But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades.

While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

Better than the first in my humble opinion- ending was unexpected but made sense- excited to complete the series-

Beautiful dark and erotic - A simple engaging and elaborately crafted work. A worthy successor to the series that explores the redemption of a lost soul through love and even subtler emotions.

2 and a half stars? I liked the relationship between them in this book but some of it was incredibly cheesy. It really did feel like something I would have written in high school, at times. That being said, these sexy scenes did not bother me because they were both into it.

It is well worth the read. It isn't the greatest written book but it does light your fire and sensual awareness. I read all three books in a week because I wanted to know what happens next. Yes, there are many errors, repeated words and obvious thesaurus words you might need to look up but the story is great. I am rereading already just to relive the excitement. YouTube the songs mentioned for a heightened experience. Definitely going on my fav list.

Book 2 has a lot of drama, I love it.

Still bad writing...but guilty as charged, it's drawing me in. Why is the question. Answer: Guilty pleasure...lol
