Interesting story, but I thought it dragged on at times. And a few times it seemed far fetched.

Mark is a bigamist. Maggie and Sylvie are his two wives. Eve has anorexia. Maggie is a Connecticut social wife, but after her divorce, ends up poor and living in a cottage working as a waitress. Her children are Buck and Grace are distanced from her.
This is an interesting tale told from different perspectives. It ends up that Maggie and Sylvie join forces to prevent Evie from dying. Later, they become friends (this part seems unlikely).
