I've read several books written by those in captivity about their experiences as POW's in Vietnam. My favorite parts of this book are the story of Mike Christian's flag, and the Christmas service. It's the best reminder that when we are stripped of all that we have, no one can take away what's inside--our memories, a favorite song, verses from the bible.
This book was also another harsh reminder of the brutality that man is capable of unleashing upon their fellow man.
