Listened to the audiobook read by Tim Robbins. Took a while to get into the book - probably a combination of the subject matter, reading style, and the sheer volume of stuff going through my head while trying to focus on the book. Got to part two and decided to start over. Much better the second time. Interesting premise and finish to the book.

This is my first "nonacademic" introduction to Ray Bradbury. Reading books are truly a learning curve, but once you get used to the pacing and writing style, it feels like you're watching a film unfold as the pages turn. This book provides commentary on societal practices that are still relevant today!!!

I went into reading this book out of obligation (an English teacher who hasn’t read Fahrenheit 451? Shameful.) but came away with an appreciation, mostly for the nuggets of truth and the note of warning that is very much relevant to today. The world Bradbury creates is the right kind of infuriating, and I’m glad I was immersed in it for a short time. With a legitimate don’t-want-to-put-down section of the text, I’d give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - if it felt right to rate this “classic.” If your high school English teacher never made you read it, do yourself a favor.

I listened to this whole book on YouTube. The way the book was read make it extremely easy to keep up with. I also love the message behind the book.
