Even though I am only on page 66, I am bored to tears and the title character simply isn't likable enough to compel me to continue. It's generally out of character for me to abandon a book midstream, but something at which I am getting better with age. There are too many good books I should be reading rather than wasting my time, even with one bearing the Nobel Prize label. My book reading years are declining!
