Educated

Hmmm....

Having lived in the Intermountain West, I must preface with, "I am biased," and because I am, to start, the title is misgiving, and is applied because of the population being written about.

This is a wonderful book about how one woman overcame everything set against her (her family mainly) and sought out an education. I could not put this book down. Even when I cringed and felt anxiety and worried for Tara, I could not put this book down.
This book and Tara's experiences will stick with me for a long time to come.

An intense read, and unbelievable story that proves that education is power. I can’t believe the physical and emotional abuse the author overcame and still, she was looking for the approval and love of her family. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star rating is because there are some things that seem a bit far fetched. So many things and accidents that could have ended up so terribly wrong always end up being solved. It is a great story.
