Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - the Original 1886 Classic (Reader's Library Classics)

All human beings, as we meet them, are commingled out of good and evil: and Edward Hyde, alone, in the ranks of mankind, was pure evil.

The disturbing Mr. Hyde is making his repugnant presence known in late 19th Century London. But punishment for his vile acts are always parried by the good, and well-respected, Dr. Jekyll. Soon, the secret relationship between the two men will be revealed.

A classic that continues to be referenced today, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde will forever be locked in literary history.

A very dark tale that delves into the symbolism of how we all have a light and dark side. It is Dr. Jekyll’s decision to try to eliminate the darkness that he realizes we must continue existing balancing out our inner personalities. A definite great read because although fiction, it delves into the reality of mental health and how we must continuously take care of it.

This literary work intrigued me with its exploration of the psychological concept of dual personality through the intricate narrative of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. As a dedicated enthusiast of psychology, I found the author's examination of this theme to be both compelling and intellectually stimulating. While the writing style may be considered austere by some, I believe that individuals with a penchant for uncovering psychological theories and concepts will find value in the profound insights presented within this book. Therefore, I recommend "Jekyll and Hyde" to those who appreciate literature that delves into the complexities of the human mind and are prepared to engage with the author's nuanced depiction of dual identities.
