As a birth specialist of 2 decades, focusing on maternal mental health, I knew this book existed, but haven't read it until now. Having suffered undiagnosed PPD myself, it was a tough read in the beginning. I felt Brooke's struggles on a visceral level, so I'd warn new parents to read it with caution - but, if you do, you will be grateful. Her candid retelling of the darkest period of her life reveals how healing is possible and gives hope to the reader.
