DOM: Alliance Series Book Three

VAL
When I was nine, I went to my first funeral. Along with accepting my father's death, I had to accept new and awful truths I wasn't prepared for.
When I was nineteen, I went to my mother's funeral. We weren't close, but with her gone, I became more alone than ever before.
Sure, I have a half brother who runs The Alliance. And yeah, he's given me his protection - in the form of a bodyguard and chauffeur. But I don't have anyone that really knows me. No one to really love me.
Until I meet him. The man in the airport.
And when one chance meeting turns into something hotter, something more serious, I let myself believe that maybe he's the one. Maybe this man is the one who will finally save me from my loneliness. The one to give me the family I've always craved.
DOM
The Mafia is in my blood. It's what I do.
So when that blood is spilled and one funeral turns into three, drastic measures need to be taken.
And when this battle turns into a war, I'm going to need more men. More power.
I'm going to need The Alliance.
And I'll become a member. By any means necessary.

Dom is a literal walking red flag. But the thing about these men is that they will do anything to protect the people they love, especially their women. Val has been horribly treated in her past by the people who are supposed to love you most. She is learning to love herself and how to accept love in return. I loved how Dom was so into Val. He was constantly telling her now beautiful and perfect she was. He saw through all her trauma and fell in love with her soul. Yes, he used her to get what he needed for his family, but he also took such good care of Val and made up for the deception( at least to me he did). He really would have moved Heaven and Earth for her. Val was so strong considering everything she had gone through but her heart was still so open and loving. I have how all the women rallied behind her. She finally found the family she wants and deserved.
But that twist at the end! Can't wait for the next book!
TWs: violence, physical and emotional abuse, loss of a loved one, suicide, human trafficking.
Spicy:
Why is it that I wanted to throttle the man across the room but kiss him at the same time. This man has pushed past the other two with the amount of stalker behavioral and unhinged behavior. All she wanted to do was to be loved by Dom for her not who she’s related to. This story was delicious, one sit read and full of emotions.
