I finished this in one day. I’m not sure if it’s because I was struggling with a few books and this narrative style fits my brain—but I couldn’t put it down. I was wrapped up in this heatstroke Noir. I needed to know what happened to Ester. This is a procedural—in that you get to spend time with the lady cop but not too much time.
