Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Vol. 1 (1)

Tanjiro sets out on the path of the Demon Slayer to save his sister and avenge his family!
In Taisho-era Japan, kindhearted Tanjiro Kamado makes a living selling charcoal. But his peaceful life is shattered when a demon slaughters his entire family. His little sister Nezuko is the only survivor, but she has been transformed into a demon herself! Tanjiro sets out on a dangerous journey to find a way to return his sister to normal and destroy the demon who ruined his life.
Learning to destroy demons won’t be easy, and Tanjiro barely knows where to start. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first!

This is my favourite mange so far. the fights, the back story, the characters building, all is amazing. I am exciting to see the rest of manga is made by the amazing studio "ufatoble". they have a very good animators.
For me it was quite gory there was a sean were Tanjiro was fighting a demon when Nezuko kicked the demon's head and he's head fell off but he was still alive! at the end of vol 1 Tanjiro is send to the mounten witch I don't remember it's name, to fight demons and then a horrible deformed demon appeared. the demon told Tanjiro he had eaten 50 people.the monstrous demon Also told Tanjiro that he ripped off a girls legs and arms. Eww for me!
I received the third volume and figured I might as well start with the first and I was able to find it at my public library. I have never read manga before, but I have seen all of the anime. However, I didn’t really pay attention to the first few episodes because I was unsure if I would like it or not (which 100%, the anime is amazing and you should watch it). That being said, I enjoyed seeing Tanjiro train and also see the very beginning when he finds his family. From the beginning, he is such an admirable character and you fall in love with him and his sister, Nezuko. This leaves off right after Tanjiro’s final selection. I’m looking forward reading more!
