Deeper Than the Dead by Tami Hoag (2009-12-29)

I really enjoy a great thriller or police procedural. Especially in the summer. This book surprised me. I was looking for a quick-read series and came across great reviews for Tami Hoag. I had always thought her books were those weird airport bestseller books that people said were awesome but lacked substance. I was mistaken. This book was great and I loved the characters. This series is set in the early 80s and follows the pioneers of the BSU. This profiling group, which the characters are based on, is fascinating in their infancy. It is incredible to see how they operated before DNA was a viable option. I also loved the ending, it was not neat and tidy. Fun read.
