Audiobook review
So glad the same narrator is being employed throughout this series! He's just the best.
Midway through this story, I realized that although Jackson Lamb is a central character to every story, but not the main character in each book. River Cartwright looms large in the story, but Luisa Guy is ultimately the primary focus in the latter half where most of the action occurs. The author adds a bit of shocking realism in that a familiar agent dies and another takes their place in the flow of the story. Just like the first novel, the ending is both climactic and anti-climactic in that the Slow Horses are front and center in the action and the resolution, but don't get to receive the accolades destined for heroes, and that makes it all the more intriguing as to what comes next.
