D-Day: The Liberation of Europe Begins (Graphic Battles of World War II)

It's very cool with clear illustrations of the landing and what happened. But then not really as it's extremely short. Even shorter than what you'd expect from a short overview. We just move too fast as with this many landings there are 1000 details to explain and we only hear 40. Still, it's a fine intro and gives you a clear image. I kinda understand the landing now. At least the soldiers landing.

We need this, but then 1000 pages. Or maybe 200 pages with clear details and all weapons presented. Way more maps too to show us where what is happening. I'd recommend this for kids and newcomers. And it's fun and action packed read anyhow. But you can just watch a short video and get this info that way. The comic book doesn't really use the format properly to show more. There is not creativity and no blueprints. Blueprints are exactly what comic books need to do. Stop up and give us dull details videos can't give us.

I am eager to find something deeper as this is fascinating. I've read another book about D-Day too and that one had issues too. It's just a huge topic and incredibly important so please give me something a few historians worked on together for a few years not a comic book some guy wrote in months.
