Cry No More: A Novel (Howard, Linda)

As in most of Linda Howard's novels this book has a great plot with pages of hold-your-breath excitement. However, in keeping with Howard's writing, the sex scenes are often ill-placed and just plain bad. For example the lead male, still panting from his near death experience of falling over a waterfall said, and I quote, "I'd give my left nut to be inside of you." Seriously! Too, the book gets bogged down by pages of the leading lady's feelings and woe-ez-me pity parties. I enjoy most of Linda Howard's novels despite these flaws that appear to be in all of her work and will continue picking them up. But this book will most likely fall into forgetfulness along with the other 3 star novels.
