I read thus book back in high school and had to re-read it! It is with such a different perspective that I read it now in my late 20s than when I read it at 13! Such a great book, coming of age, addiction, pregnancy, teenage love and lust. It definitely makes you wonder about the choices we make and how they affect our lives. I've always been interested in drugs and what they do to our bodies, but books like these made me fear drugs as a teenager because I was afraid of needing it so bad like Christina. Everything she experiences throughout the book can be felt on a real level. These is reality to some teenagers. Great read!

I read this because it's on some Nebraska schools banned lists... it was intense. Felt like 20s-young-adult, not teen-young-adult. I didn't even know crank was meth before reading this. It was dark dark dark.
