Constant Fear

I tried to like this book. I really did. I'm not even sure what turned me off, but I really just didn't care for it. despite tons of violence, it dragged. it did not engage my attention at all. I found the scene where the main character winds up and throws the can beans rather silly, like in a Disney movie, where the kid has been too scared to do *whatever* but manages to do it at the last second, saving the day! I also disliked every single thing about the ending, from who stole the coins to the options he was given.

Overall, it's obvious that a lot of people really enjoyed this book. It just wasn't for me.
