This book was such a different style than what I used to read. I love the historical fiction nature of this book. There was so much information about the Spaniard colonization, plantations and slavery to abolishment of slavery in Puerto Rico, that had me turning wanting to read it more and more. This was such a joy to read, I only wish there was one last chapter to tell of Anna's reaction.
