Chosen (House of Night, Book 3)

Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird's adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. So begins the gripping third installment of this "highly addictive series" (Romantic Times), in which Zoey's mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn't have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity. Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn't get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey's horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampyres. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth…
Chosen is the third in the House of Night series by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast.

In âChosenâ the third book of The House Of Night series by P.C. Cast, I did like the book but it started out a bit slow for me. Zoey finally gets her wish that concerns Stevie Rae. In this book, she finds that she comes to have all the elements and best of she can call on them at any time.
Zoey finds herself with three boyfriends and two of them are an absolute no, no in The House of Night, and one being a teacher is definitely a big NO, she does not want to get rid of Heath because they have imprinted, so he becomes a good source of blood for her, and she really does like him.
The group knows they had to have another fledgling fill the place of Stevie Rae for the circle, but when they find out that, it is the most hated person at the House Of Night School, Aphordite that has the element of Earth. When the other fledglings find out that Nyx has chosen Aphordite herself, they are more than angry.
Then teachers from the House of Night start being killed, and of course, Neferet blames the humans and says there will be war if the humans continue to kill anyone else from the House Of Night School, than⦠I recommend this book to anyone who is in to vamp books.
The Cast duo has left me wanting to read every single book in succession. I am so involved in this series and engulfed by its narrative. I cannot wait to get my hands on the rest of the series!
From what I remember this one got a little out of hand. Too many boyfriends and a real whiny unlikable main character.
My hope now, picking up this series ten years later to finish it, is that it's not awful. Just meh. And I'll be okay with that.
