Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens: WINNER OF THE MILES FRANKLIN LITERARY AWARD

This was a beautiful book and I cried audibly at points towards the end. I loved the stories and insights into large lives led. I also particularly enjoyed the environs being based in Sydney and delving into the toxicity of race in Australia. At some points I felt the author may have tried to put in too much or paint some of her observations too thickly. But it’s an important story to be told so would recommend to others.
