A must read for understanding the hows and whys of the 13 Amendment. Moving slavery to the prison system. It explains so much about how so many Black and Poor white people end up in the prison system. It’s a book I feel I would refer back to on a regular basis. I’m also very floored that I was never taught about any of this in School.
