Broken Monsters

This is brilliant writing. Lauren Beukes has elevated the genre of horror! I loved the narrative of every character. I loved the unexpected voices, backdrop (ruined detroit), hipster art scene, all of it. Her writing has been compared to Kurt Vonnegut, James Ellory and of course, Stephen King, but I don't think she is easily comparable to anyone. This was a mind blower. I am so excited to read more from her.
